Another round in financial dialogue between Switzerland and Brazil

Bern, 16.09.2015 - Today in Bern, high-ranking representatives of the Swiss and Brazilian finance ministries met for another round of their regular financial dialogue. The discussions focused on the exchange concerning developments in the global economy and financial markets, as well as regulatory reforms.

The work of international financial bodies such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Financial Stability Board (FSB) was also discussed at the meeting. In addition, financial relations between Brazil and Switzerland, including current issues regarding taxation, were addressed.

The financial dialogue with Brazil began in 2012 and enables strong contacts between the authorities on financial matters to be fostered and expanded. Since 2011, Switzerland has initiated regular financial dialogues with several important partner countries. These discussions facilitate the exchange of experiences and opinions and promote cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
