State Secretary Jacques de Watteville and his Indian counterpart, Shaktikanta Das, sign joint statement in Bern

Bern, 15.10.2014 - Today in Bern, the State Secretary for International Financial Matters, Jacques de Watteville, met with his Indian counterpart, Revenue Secretary Shaktikanta Das. They discussed various bilateral and multilateral tax and financial issues. On this occasion, the two heads of delegation signed a joint statement on the topics discussed. The two heads of delegation agreed to continue the dialogue between the two countries.

This official working visit was part of the regular dialogue conducted by the Swiss and Indian authorities. The meeting was a follow-up to a Swiss delegation's visit to New Delhi in February 2014. It was also the first high-level meeting between the two countries' tax and financial authorities since the new Indian government took up office in May this year.
