State Secretary Jörg Gasser at Fintech Festival in Singapore
Bern, 14.11.2017 - On 14 and 15 November 2017, State Secretary Jörg Gasser will visit the Fintech Festival in Singapore. The event will provide the opportunity for an exchange with representatives of the fintech scene and supervisory authorities.
The Fintech Festival provides a big international stage to present Switzerland's attractive framework conditions for fintech companies. In a podium discussion, State Secretary Gasser will present Switzerland's regulatory approach in the fintech area in particular. In addition, he will also emphasise the importance of open financial markets with regard to globally-geared fintech business models. With the visit to the Festival, State Secretary Gasser is underlining the great significance the Confederation attaches to this topic.
Various Swiss fintech companies will be present at the Festival within the scope of a trade fair stand organised by Switzerland Global Enterprise. This will provide them with the opportunity to foster relations with the main players and to get an idea of the current technological developments with onsite visits. The visit to the Fintech Festival supplements the annual financial dialogue with Singapore which will take place the next time on 21 November 2017 in Singapore.
State Secretary Gasser will subsequently travel on to Beijing for a meeting with the Chinese Finance Ministry, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and other financial market players in China.
