Innovation promotion

In addition to the specific thematic areas, there are cross-cutting initiatives that help the financial centre as a whole to be more innovative.

International collaborations
Cooperation with countries such as Singapore, organisation of global forums (Point Zero Forum), involvement in AI ethics and crypto standards (FSB).
Relevance: These activities ensure that Switzerland is globally connected and visible in the debate on the future of financial markets. By cooperating with leading financial centres and participating in standard setting, the Swiss financial centre can bring its interests to bear and benefit from best practices.

FIND – Swiss Financial Innovation Desk (2023-2025)
Pilot project for a central contact point for FinTech issues; provided a low-threshold point of contact within the administration to efficiently clarify questions about regulation, authorisations or support services. FIND was transferred to the State Secretariat for International Financial Matters (SIF) on 1 September 2025.
Relevance: This structure improved cooperation between innovators and authorities. FIND demonstrated the authorities' commitment to actively promoting an innovation-friendly environment. The involvement and networking of the various stakeholders remains central and will be continued in an appropriate form with representatives of authorities and individuals from academia and the private sector under the leadership of the SIF.
